If you want an overhead rainfall shower experience, we recommend purchasing a 90° shower arm and attaching the Quattro Rainshower to it, or using the Rainshower + NASA for the best user experience. The Quattro Handshower is not intended to be used as a vertical rainshower/in a "Rainshower Mode" for numerous reasons (please see below):
- Magnetic strength - the magnet is not designed to hold reliably at angles greater than 60°+ (90° is a safety issue). In order to achieve this, we'd need to make the magnetic connection so strong that it would be rather challenging to remove the Handshower cradle, leading to a poor user experience overall.
-
Hose management - when trying to put the Quattro Handshower into a "Rainshower mode" position, the hose hangs straight down and presents a possible obstruction in the shower (a safety issue).
-
Additional forces - the added force of water moving through the hose places greater loads on the Magnetic connection. Once the water is turned on, the shower will likely fall due to the added weight and force of water moving through the hose. For the "Rainshower Mode" to work, we would need to redesign the magnetic array completely, and incorporate some type of hose cable management, resulting in an entirely new product.
Below you'll find a quick breakdown of which version of Quattro is compatible with different water outlets connections/heights/types:
Again, if you want a true overhead Rainshower experience, we wholeheartedly recommend the Quattro Rainshower + NASA.
