To remove your Nebia Hooks, follow the directions below based on the installation method you chose:
Screw Method
- Unscrew set screw at the base of the hook using the Allen key and remove the hook
- Unscrew 2 screws using Philips screwdriver
- Remove baseplate from wall
- (If not wooden wall) pry out wall anchors
- Patch-up the wall as best you can
Adhesive method
- Unscrew set screw at the base of the hook using the Allen key and remove the hook
- Pry out the backplate from the wall with slow and even pressure
- Remove remaining adhesive tape from the wall using a straight edge; Goo Gone and use of heat from a hairdryer may help ease removal of adhesive
To remove your Multi-Purpose Hooks, follow the directions below:
- Insert a thin flat tool (i.e. flat blade screw driver, putty knife) in-between the wall and the rear flange of the hook. Using two tools may ease the removal.
- Slowly pry the hook from the wall until it comes off.
- Clean off any adhesive residue from the wall or hook using soap and water. For harder to remove adhesive, use rubbing alcohol OR Goo Gone Adhesive Remover.
- If you've removed a drywall plate from the wall along with the hook, you can patch up the holes in your wall with spackling paste and touch-up paint. If you need to purchase additional drywall plates, please contact us at support@nebia.com.
