Since this is a semi-permanent installation, the dock cannot be easily removed. But, with a little elbow grease and some adhesive remover, uninstalling the dock will be no trouble at all. Best of all you do not have to worry about any damage to the tile and it will only take around 10 to 20 minutes.
Getting started:
It will be helpful to have the following handy:
- A putty knife
- GooGone
- Rubbing alcohol
Removing the Dock:
- Start by applying a small amount of rubbing alcohol or GooGone around the base of the dock. This helps break down the adhesive bond to the tile.
- Wait for 10 minutes.
- Using a putty knife, begin working the flat end of the blade behind the dock little, by little.
- Add more GooGone as needed to break down the adhesive until the dock begins to break free from the wall.
- Once the dock is removed, clean the tile wall with Rubbing alcohol.
I still can't figure out this step.
