- Screw the end of the Adapter wrapped in Plumber’s Tape into the water outlet.
- Use the Key as indicated in the graphic to tighten the Adapter into the wall.
- To ensure that the Adapter is secure, use both hands (one on each end of the Key), turning the Key clockwise until the Adapter is very tight. Continue tightening until you can’t turn it anymore.
Note: This step requires a good amount of force.
Having troubles with this step?
My Key does not fit into the slots on the Adapter, why?
The Key should easily slide into the slots in the Adapter. If there are any burrs or unsmooth edges on the Adapter, the Key may not slide into place on the first try. Pressing the key firmly into the slots will resolve this.
My Key keeps slipping out of the Adapter.
Both the Key and Adapter have slots cut out allowing them to fit together. Please be sure the Key is centered and is resting at the bottom of each slot inside the adapter. This allows you to tighten the Adapter without the key slipping.
My Key bent when tightening the Adapter, how do I get a new one?
If the Key bent during the installation, it should still be able to be used as intended.
How do I know that the Adapter will not leak behind my wall?
Everything inside the toolkit was designed for industry standard plumbing. If you have wrapped properly the Adapter with Plumber's Tape and have tightened well the Adapter using the Key, you will not have any problem.
